What some might see as a cross, others as a window, I see as an opening onto several possibilities. As the imagination sets off on a journey through each of the four parts of the painting, possibilities thus appear. The imagination, through each opening, through the interpretation of what it discovers, can find a path, a story, perhaps a memory, the desire to be surprised, and this is the gateway to the dream… If I direct my imagination towards the vision of one or two parts, this path is already a little more directed, marked out each time. If three out of four views are offered to me, I can limit or enrich my imagination by imposing more elements on it to see, to consider. Or, if we look at the cross, the window, and therefore at an overall view, then in this global vision, the imaginary field can be further constrained or energized. Do more parameters to consider open up possibilities, or do they limit my thinking by what they impose? What do you think? If I remove the cross, the window, I impose a vision, a solution, almost an outcome, or a vast expanse of possibilities. If, in addition, I add color, I construct a reality that can open onto an imaginary world, but these are more elements to take into account. Color, colors can bring feelings, ideas, emotions… Just as, by adding music, it would almost tell me part of the story through the feelings it instills… But there would be so much to say about this approach, wouldn’t there? As in life, it’s all a question of perspective, and changing perspectives opens up possibilities…
